BBC iPlayer Compatibility rolling out

It really is changing the way a lot of people are watching BBC content in the UK and player manufacturers are taking note.  All of Sony's current S and E series video compatible players can now play iPlayer downloaded files (the A series is not compatible) and Creative have just announced that the Zen (and Zen X-Fi) will now be compatible with the file type.

In addition, the new Archos media tablets are compatible, along with the older 605 Wifi.  Samsung have got in on the act as well with the YP-P2 and the YP-Q1.

This means you can download a selection of shows from the last 7 days from the BBC, including all the big budget drama and documentary content that makes the corporation world famous.  It's a growing trend and we are putting pressure on more manufacturers to follow suit with these early adopters.
